Seminar News From My Dad
As summer wraps up I just got some new news from my Dad so it's posted under his blog in the writing section. He and his wife, Anneliese, in conjunction with The Arts and Ideas Seminars of the Aspen Institute, are sponsoring a three day seminar titled: The Florence II Seminar "That-One-Man Renaissance -- Leonardo da Vinci". The seminar takes place in Aspen Colorado, December 12th to the 15th. All the contact information is in my Dad's blog so be sure to check it out. It should be a very informative and interesting seminar and both Larry and Anneliese have worked hard to make it an interesting three days. I've still been painting and rolling along with my other site. I'll be posting pics of the new paintings as soon as they are done. Hope all is well with everyone.

Summer is Half Full
Summer has a way of going by fast. Today I had a chance to revamp my site a bit. I'm starting to re-organize the paintings in respective galleries sorted by the year they were painted. We also added some paintings that were not on the site yet. Right now I am painting on four new paintings, two on canvas and two on wood. I am also of course working on the 2008 drafting table as well. Each year since 2005, the drafting table I paint on is signed and becomes a painting. These paintings take a year to complete. I just put the first two examples of the tables in the 2000+ gallery. The final results are very shiny paintings and they are difficult to take photos of, but the examples give you an idea of what they look like. As soon as the newest paintings are done I'll put them up. I'm still getting some great numbers as far as hits and visits! So again, hello to the people from all the different countries including: Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, Poland, Italy, United Kingdom, France, and Brazil, just to name some. I'm still surprised that people from so many countries around the world are checking out both my sites. As always, feel free with questions, suggestions or comments. Be sure to check out my other website: intellectualoutpost.com. It's getting many hits as well. Hope all is well with all my friends, near and far.

Summer Solstice
For people all around the world in the Northern Hemisphere, today is a day of celebration that reverberates from the present back to ancient times. The summer solstice marks a time in the year that reflects the warmth and importance of this solar systems center piece: the sun. For thousands of years, people have celebrated this day as they observed the path of our star, across the sky and the cycle of our seasons. I too, am enchanted with the natural cycle and plan on celebrating the summer solstice with vigor. After checking some raw data about both my websites I am pleased to see some surprising numbers as far as hits and visits. So I want to say hello to all the people around the world in countries such as: Canada, Israel, Turkey, Spain, Italy, The Netherlands, France and the UK. Thank you for your interest, it is exciting to know that people from all over the world are somehow stumbling across my sites. Please feel free to contact me with any ideas or suggestions or comments that you might have. My sites are still under construction, there are many newer paintings that are not in my gallery yet, to see the paintings in the gallery just click on gallery proper to see them. I still have not organized the paintings into specific galleries as of yet. Look for some changes and updates as the months go by. Please be sure to check out my other website: intellectualoutpost.com. My new site is updated every day with news of History, Culture and Science. So to all: Happy Summer Solstice. I'm partying with you today and tonight!
